Every year since 2001, in the middle of May, Nimes has been offering a weekend devoted to comic strip. Readers can meet authors (some of whom are well known) get autographs, discover many events and exhibitions ... All this in a friendly atmosphere as the festival is generally located in Les Jardins de la Fontaine in the arena or on the esplanade. The admission is free.

At the beginning of June the “stade des costières” welcomes the "JAPANIMES" festival
Every year, a cosplay competition parade is organized. There are also areas dedicated to video games, to drawing and exhibitions. Martial artv demonstration are organized as well as meetings with manga artists who are invited for the occasion. A wide variety of items are on sale
Rates vary, but in 2012 the entrance was € 2 a day, € 3 a weekend, and free for the cosplayers.
For 60 years, Nimes has been celebrating the Feria. The week before the Monday of Pentecôte (and in the middle of september “la féria des vendanges”-grape harvest feria- ) takes place. It all starts with the opening parade the "pégoulade" made of floats, bandas and a fireworks show. Then twice a day, you can attend bullfights or novilladas in the arena. You can also participate in “Encierros”, and “abrivados”. Finally, balls are open in “bodegas” until four in the morning, and concerts are held on the “Maison Carrée” Square or in the “Jardins de la Fontaine”. The entertainment in the streets (mostly in the cocktail hour) contributes greatly to the festive atmosphere of Nimes in these times of the year.
